Safe Clean Water Wells Successfully Completed in East Region

Safe water has officially arrived. For the past six months, families in the East Region faced severe challenges due to drying seasonal streams. In partnership with local engineering teams, BrightHarbor Foundation has completed three new deep-well water hubs.
A Fundamental Foundation for Health
Prior to these constructions, children walked an average of four miles daily to fetch water from muddy sources. This task caused frequent school absences and health concerns. Now, with deep solar-powered well systems operating directly on school grounds, clean drinking water is accessible in seconds.
Co-Managed by Local Leaders
Sustainability is our core focus. We collaborated with the East Region Local Council to train five community water guardians. These operators manage routine solar panel cleaning and maintain system security, ensuring that the wells remain operational for generations to come.
"Our children now have the safety and time to focus on their studies," says Elena Mbeki, a local headmistress. "We are extremely grateful to all the monthly supporters who made this well installation possible."
